Foreign students can benefit from General Health Insurance on condition that they apply to the Social Security Institution within three months after they enroll to our university and pay the set amount of social security contribution. Our university does not have an authorization or responsibility on the issue. Students who do not apply for General Health Insurance within the period given will not be able to benefit from treatment opportunities and will have to pay the social security contribution with extra penalty fee.

Turkish students without a social security are required to apply Social Security Institution and get a “Proof of Income” and depending on the result, students will benefit from General Health Insurance either with premium or without premium. Our university does not have an authorization or responsibility on the issue.

For students working in part-time jobs within university, Short Term Insurance Contribution at a rate of 2% is paid to the Social Security Institution. However, this aforementioned- contribution does not have an effect within the scope of General Health Insurance; and those students who are not in the scope of Law no. 5510 are not accepted as insured and cannot get treatment support.
